Is this just another gimmick that sounds good but never gets used?

Won't the rest space just eat into my bag room?

This is the objection we hear most and the one we worked hardest to solve. The rest space is integrated into the base of the bag, not a separate layer that steals space from your main compartment. Is it safe? I've read about sleep pods and nests being unsafe.
